Time for beauty

Enter James:
Fall Creek Falls is located in Swan Valley, Idaho where Fall Creek empties into the South Fork of the Snake River. Normally the front of the falls can only by viewed from the river but when the water is low you can bushwhack out to a little peninsula for this view. It is a bit soggy and you have to be careful as you hike down the steep slope from the road but the view is worth the effort. I used an ND8 neutral density filter to lengthen the exposure to 15 seconds at 13 mm and f22.

I subscribe to this site. In part because they subscribe to my blog but in reality because what they are posting is inspirational and uplifting.
I don’t get that much email, in comparison to those with 200+ junk category, non personal arriving every day. Part of the reason that I do not receive too much crap is the amount of time I have spent un-subscribing, blocking, filtering and auto redirecting. Yet still some days there are more than I want to sift through. Some days I’m, just not in the mood, others I’m just in a, ‘looking for something else, somewhere else’ mood.
Today I nearly deleted without looking ‘Today’s Photo’ from PhotoBotos. (This is not advertising for them. I do not know the guys.) I decided that it was silly of me not to take the moment and look. They are always incredible photographs. Like this one, photos that you take a second, sometimes a lot longer, lasting look at, convinced that they ‘could’ be a painting. How can anyone take a photograph like that, I have asked myself.
I am, each and every time very glad, gladder than glad that I took that time to look.
Time or whatever pressure we place upon ourselves. Turn it around. Take a moment and let it work for you, with you. Take time and find that here gazing at beauty time is on your side. Slow it down place less in it. Less is more, quality over quantity. Whatever argument you take with yourself, win it. Wherever you find it, see it. Take the time to see beauty and thank the moments throughout your life.
Thank you for my reminder PhotoBotos.

About JJBollOX

This is an update. The slight humour aka sarcasm will be lost on anyone who hasn't read this before the update. I am, still a British male. Still living but not in Switzerland. I intend to remain, living and male. When I wrote before I had "spent the better part of two months negotiating the change in my self identity. Unemployed and sharing home with a now ex-girlfriend. I've moved. Moved on. Maybe a year has passed by. Have I moved in an upward direction? Is upward the only way to go if we are to expand, broaden and grow? Realistically, the most dramatic (not exactly decisive) direction I have taken in the time was down. Down, down and deeper than down. I fell off of a mountain. My life got complicated yet simple. This in itself is a fair summary of my personality. I have posted the first words of blogs to be written which I would like to turn into a book. 'A normal life.' Let's see how well and how fruitfully I can express my frustrations, pain, healing process and the constant changes that are life.

“This is not advertising for them” – 🙂 Ah Johnny, you’re funny! It doesn’t seem like advertising, no. Sounds like a good site.

We all need something uplifting, oh yeah!
